Camino Health Center is proactively combating the COVID-19 virus. The health center is in continual communication with community partners as well as local, state, and federal government agencies to ensure proper precautions are in place to safely care for our communities, patients, and employees.
Clinic Safety Precautions
Protecting our patients and employees is a top priority for the health center. All persons will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 and will be required to wear a mask prior to entering the health center.

Modified Clinic Hours
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the health center has modified some of its clinic hours. Click here to see the current hours of operation.
Testing for Established Camino Health Center Patients
Camino Health Center currently has COVID-19 testing available for established health center patients. Accurate results from these tests are only effective if a patient has symptoms of coronavirus. Therefore, a licensed medical provider will make the proper assessment before proceeding with a lab order for COVID-19.
Testing for Non Camino Health Center Patients
Due to the limited supply of COVID-19 tests, Camino Health Center is only able to provide testing to established health center patients. We encourage other community members to contact their primary care physician or insurance company for COVID-19 resources that are available to them. If you do not have a primary care physician or medical insurance, please contact the medical department at (949)240-2272.
Camino Health Center is providing limited in-person appointments at the San Juan Capistrano and Lake Forest sites. In order to keep our staff and patients as safe as possible, Camino has implemented the following precautions:
- All employees, patients, and visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including having their temperature taken before entering the clinic.
- Medical grade masks are required in the health center. Patients and visitors will be provided a new mask upon entry of the clinic.
- All employees will wear masks and face shields when coming in close contact with patients.
- Social distancing is practiced in all common areas.
- To assist in ensuring social distancing, only one parent/caregiver may accompany an underage patient or an adult patient needing special assistance (language assistance, frail patients). All accompanying visitors are required to be screened and wear a medical grade mask.
- The health center has expanded its disinfecting procedures to ensure all areas and equipment are safe for each patient.
In order to protect our staff and patients, Camino Health Center will only allow patients in the clinic if they have an appointment scheduled in advance. Walk-in appointments will be directed to call the health center for assistance. If you need to make an appointment, please call the appropriate department.
